<p><strong>Apply to Post Production Systems Engineer at Company3/Method Studios in Toronto, ON, Canada.</strong></p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Provide maintenance system Engineering support for Picture Sound operations. Company3 Systems Engineer helps design, build, monitor, and maintain various systems to increase up-time performance, infrastructure equipment, and insights on systems services that help improve overall productivity and various workflows throughout the facility. The Systems Engineer is responsible for collaborating with employees and departments, including Operations, Facilities, and Production, to help solve technology issues that impact specific productions and/or overall productivity at Company3 Toronto.</p><p><strong>MAIN DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Systems Engineer position primarily provides engineering support for Picture Post-production; however, it ultimately extends across departments including picture, sound, dailies, encoding, QC, and Data I/O Engineering.</li><li>Provide maintenance Engineering support for Picture Sound operations.</li><li>Setup and configure new systems.</li><li>Advocate for technical solutions within the operations department.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and support to operations to minimize downtime.</li><li>Support and troubleshoot production workflows, ensuring Company3 security standards are followed.</li><li>Train production staff on new equipment and systems.</li><li>Maintain engineering documentation.</li><li>Stay current with technology and industry trends.</li><li>Moderate shift work and on-call weekend work during heavy production periods may be required.</li></ul><p><strong>VP Engineering Technology Security</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in ensuring established security procedures are adhered to within operations workflows.</li><li>Assist in the implementation, updating, and improving monitoring of Company3 security policies and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>General Quality Service</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure excellent customer service by recognizing and meeting the needs of operations and clients.</li><li>Relay technical concerns in an effective and timely manner.</li><li>Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of the mission and values of Company3.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>The ideal candidate should be experienced in:<br>• SDI digital media network<br>• Video network operating systems<br>• Routing systems control systems within a post-production broadcast environment<br>• Advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mac OS<br>• Experience supporting post-production software such as DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront, Trankskoder Express, Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut, and Avid ProTools.</p><p><strong>Additional desired skills include:</strong></p><ul><li>Technical understanding of various film and television specifications and standards.</li><li>Ability to evaluate, learn, and implement new software and hardware.</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm, professional, and courteous manner.</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Understanding of working knowledge of standard high dynamic range video content derived and delivered to the end-user current adopted standards.</li><li>Experience in professional broadcast streaming technologies, including Streambox and Clearview products, along with live network video streaming products like NDI.</li></ul><p><strong>Sound Engineering Support</strong></p><p>Company3 Method Studios provides a full range of Creative Services for content creators including conceptual design, pre-vis, look development, ideation, rapid prototyping, 3D animation/CGI, motion graphics/designers, matte painting, compositing, dailies production services, color grading, post-production finishing, marketing/trailers, and live-action production experiences.</p><p><strong>Diversity & Inclusion</strong></p><p>Company3 values creativity and diversity at its core.
