I also prioritize effective communication with the healthcare team and families to promote understanding and cooperation throughout the recovery process.
A: If I encounter a medication error, my first step is to prioritize patient safety by assessing the patient's condition immediately and mitigating any potential harm. I would then report the incident as required by hospital policy to ensure proper documentation and investigation. I believe in fostering a culture of transparency, where such errors are seen as learning opportunities, and I would participate in quality assurance audits to help improve our medication administration processes.
