 </strong>
 The Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science is dedicated to creating and promoting public health innovations to advance equity, justice, and wellbeing for all. The School focuses on health, diversity, inclusion, and social equity in everything we do. We believe this starts in the workplace, where we actively strive to ensure a sense of belonging for everyone and honor the idea that through our differences, we are better together. In working to fulfill that vision, we are comprised of more than 125 primary appointed faculty and academics, 200 staff members, and 25 secondary appointed faculty and provide mentorship and instruction to 750+ BSPH undergraduate major students and 225+ postgraduate students across six degree programs as well as a clinical residency. We conduct research and instruction in public health disciplines such as Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Climate &amp; Environmental Health, Community Health Services &amp; Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, Global Health, Health Behavior, Health Equity &amp; Justice, Health Policy, Public Mental Health &amp; Substance Use, and Technology &amp; Precision Health, totaling ~$125M in grants and contracts and housing five research service cores. We engage in research and teaching collaborations across the University and the community at-large. Partnerships with the community and with health agencies are fundamental to the School.

 <br/>
 Under supervision, this position will perform statistical computations for investigators; consult regarding analytical approaches for studies of moderate statistical complexity and scope; provide guidance on statistical issues of moderate complexity; and contribute to manuscript development for studies requiring moderately complex statistical methods. This position will also develop new statistical models and R codes for modeling high-dimensional data.

 Works on research data reporting assignments that are of moderate diversity in scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  Minimum Qualifications

   Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training
  </li>
  <li>
   Working knowledge of research function.
  </li>
  <li>
   Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of statistical analysis packages, including strong programming skills in R.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated experience doing moderately complex statistical programming.
  </li>
  <li>
   Working skills in analysis and consultation. Demonstrated experience with statistical methods and models incorporating a broad range of variable types and traditional and modern statistical approaches.
  </li>
  <li>
   Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people from faculty investigators to support staff throughout the institution.
  </li>
  <li>
   Rigorous training and expertise in biostatistics and data analysis.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and using large and complex databases.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with multivariable modeling including Cox regression, logistic regression, linear mixed models, generalized estimating equations, and longitudinal data analysis
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated knowledge of Windows PC's and familiarity with MAC platform. Demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent time management and organization skills. Demonstrated skill in prioritizing multiple responsibilities and tasks.

 Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
