  Century Engineering is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist II to join our Water and Environmental Resources team located in the Hunt Valley, MD office.
 </strong>
 This position includes office and field work to provide a variety of environmental assessments (wetlands, WUS, forest, RTE, other); prepare permit applications (JPA, FCP, NEPA, other); and environmental designs (planting plans, mitigation, monitoring). These types of services are provided for a wide range of clients including, but not limited to: SHA, MDTA, MTA, BGE, many Maryland counties, and through other clients/ offices/ states. Project types include, but are not limited to: water resources, stream restoration, stormwater management, wetland mitigation/ monitoring, reforestation/ monitoring, transportation, and facilities. The Water and Environmental Resources group and the Hunt Valley office have significant contract capacity and strong workload backlog.

Century and Kleinfelder provide comprehensive planning, design, permitting and construction phase services for public and private sector clients.

  Required Experience/ Qualifications:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   B.S. degree in environmental science, biology, or related field
  </li>
  <li>
   3 to 6 years of experience performing natural resources assessments (NRI, FSD, RTE) preparing and obtaining permit approvals (JPA, FCP, NEPA)
  </li>
  <li>
   AutoCADD and ArcGIS skills
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
 <strong>
  Desired Experience/ Qualifications:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Experience on MD transportation, NPDES MS4, and NEPA projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong knowledge of field sampling techniques
  </li>
  <li>
   USACE wetland delineations and post-construction monitoring
  </li>
  <li>
   Plant identification
  </li>
  <li>
   Team approach and motivated to learn and grow
