 The Product Development Specialist will be responsible for the research and development of our dietary supplement and sports nutrition lines. This position involves coordinating the product development process for new formulations from initiation to launch, working internally with other departments and externally with manufacturers and suppliers. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance their career in Product Development/R&amp;D in the Natural Products Industry or a recent graduate with a degree in Nutritional Science, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  Roles And Responsibilities
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Oversee product development of new products through the product lifecycle, including ideation, research, ingredient sourcing, formulation, labeling, and product education
  </li>
  <li>
   Source new and innovative ingredients and ensure they meet specifications
  </li>
  <li>
   Stay current with industry and market trends and apply these insights to new product development
  </li>
  <li>
   Create original product concepts and present them to the executive team
  </li>
  <li>
   Review and interpret scientific literature on ingredients to guide formulation decisions
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain professional and positive relationships with vendors
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with contract manufacturers on product formulation development, problem-solving, and contributing unique solutions when challenges arise
  </li>
  <li>
   Coordinate cross-departmental efforts on product launches, ensuring compliance, accurate labeling, and appropriate marketing materials
  </li>
  <li>
   Review technical documentation to ensure ingredients and formulas meet requirements and specifications
  </li>
  <li>
   Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing them from initiation to launch
  </li>
  <li>
   Review marketing materials for accuracy and proper emphasis
  </li>
  <li>
   Analyze the market and conduct competitive analysis to propose new product pricing
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain electronic records of the status of all concepts and development projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

  Must-Have Qualifications
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>

   1 to 3 years of experience in the natural products space, sports nutrition space, or a relevant Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
  </li>
  <li>
   Open to collaboration and able to work well with others
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent organisational skills
  </li>

   Strong maths skills
  </li>
  <li>
