 Perform a variety of duties on integrated multi-computer systems, video generation and display systems, complex digital interfaces, high density cable/plug repair, software maintenance, and comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of general training device peripheral systems, in support of a F-16 Flight Simulator System located at Chiayi AB, Taiwan. Including, but not limited to, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as managing spares and tracking inventory. This is an overseas Field Service position and may require travel to other overseas locations. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.   Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>

  <li>
   Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas in support of F16 MTC Flight Trainers located at Chiayi, AB, Taiwan. May be asked to occasionally support F16 devices located at Hualien AB, Taiwan.
  </li>
  <li>
   Calibrate, install, maintain, repair, and test flight simulators, and other support equipment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Install changes and updates to simulators and support equipment as required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform required readiness checks on flight simulation equipment and instruments.
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct and document preventative maintenance checks required for simulator and support equipment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Troubleshoot, repair, and document malfunctions of simulators and support equipment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Remove and replace faulty equipment and complete maintenance data collection records.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with installation and check-out of simulator and support equipment modifications.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with general field site facility activities as required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Apply comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  </li>
  <li>
   Process items to be delivered for repair and/or returned to Chiayi, via the assigned shipping processor.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare shipping crates, assist with preparation of related shipping documents, and verify items have been delivered to the assigned shipping processor.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform other related duties as required by a Site Manager or Program Management.

  Qualifications And Education Requirements
  <br/>

 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in the electronics field or a two-year electronic technician resident course at an accredited technical institute and/or military technical training and equivalent electronics maintenance experience on equipment of similar complexity.
  </li>
  <li>
   Must have at least 5 years' electronic maintenance experience and have demonstrated competence by satisfactory progressive performance in electronic maintenance on simulation systems of comparable complexity to those supported on this program.
  </li>
  <li>

  Preferred Skills

   CompTIA certification in one or both of the following: Security+ and/or Network+

   This job operates in an environmentally controlled flight simulator environment, utilizing the tools and test equipment essential to it&rsquo;s the maintenance and care. Also, you routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

   Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.

   Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under the device.
  </li>

   Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Must be able to distinguish colors.
  </li>
  <li>
   Shop floor environment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from electronically moving mechanical parts.
  </li>

   Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: Cold, heat, airborne particles, loud noises.
