Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes has an opportunity available for a Development Engineer.
Position Summary
Responsible for the development of new products and processes to ensure a competitive market position based on technical and manufacturing capability.
Primary Duties
* Development of new PTFE and adhesive coated fabrics and associated products.
* Work closely with customers to develop new materials and solutions.
* Provide technical customer support for new products.
* Provide manufacturing and sales engineering support of new products.
* 5% travel for field support and customer development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related disciplines. Must have a minimum of three years of Engineering experience. Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships within all levels of the organization. Must be able to problem solve in a scientific manner, have a working knowledge of statistics, and substantial knowledge of scientific and engineering computer software. Must be self-driven with strong project management and organizational skills. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
