<h3>Overview</h3><p>UC San Diego Health Sciences encompasses UC San Diego Health region's academic health system, including:</p><ul><li>UC San Diego School of Medicine – one of the nation's top research-intensive medical schools</li><li>Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences – Southern California's first public school of pharmacy</li><li>Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science</li></ul><p>The mission of UC San Diego Health Sciences is to deliver outstanding patient care, demonstrate a commitment to the community, and conduct groundbreaking research inspired by teaching.</p><h3>Division of Medical Education</h3><p>The Division of Medical Education within UC San Diego School of Medicine consists of the following units:</p><ul><li>Undergraduate Medical Education</li><li>Admissions</li><li>Student Affairs</li><li>Diversity & Community Partnerships</li><li>Graduate Medical Education</li><li>Continuing Medical Education</li><li>Faculty Development</li><li>Simulation Education</li><li>Physician Assistant Education</li><li>Anatomical Services</li><li>Business Affairs</li><li>Educational Technology</li></ul><p>This division supports the education and training of approximately 560 medical students, 90 physician assistant students, and 1000 residents and fellows, as well as faculty and physician healthcare providers.</p><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>The Business Simulation Operations Specialist (BSOS) is expected to provide financial, administrative, educational, and technical support for the Simulation Training Center (STC) at UC San Diego School of Medicine. The BSOS will oversee, monitor, and manage the STC budget, track operational expenses, reconcile monthly recharge accounts, and ensure billing accuracy.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Create yearly budget summaries</li><li>Develop and maintain inventory records, policies, and maintenance schedules</li><li>Ensure equipment and supplies are managed in a cost-effective way</li><li>Manage and organize day-to-day simulation reservations</li><li>Liaise with clients to ensure accuracy of logistics and billing</li><li>Oversee shared email accounts, handling general inquiries and triaging daily emails to appropriate team members</li><li>Organize and edit contents of the STC shared drive</li><li>Collect STC user data and center utilization data to aid in evaluating STC effectiveness and efficiency</li></ul><p>The BSOS will also support simulation events at La Jolla Main Campus and Campus East San Diego, including preparation, setup, teardown, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computerized manikins, software, hardware, task trainers, and audiovisual equipment. Additionally, the BSOS will assist STC clients with administrative support for research initiatives and support the UCSD Simulation Fellowship Program.</p><p>Performs duties as assigned.</p>
