If disability related accommodations are needed, please contact 414-278-3936.</p> <p>We are searching for Changemakers to come and join our team and discover our diverse and versatile community of independent spirits and unique talents; we are redefining the way you think about Milwaukee County!</p> <h3>Certified Interpreter Bilingual/Spanish Combined Courts</h3> <p>Hourly Pay Rate: $25.93 - $29.89</p> <p>Closing Date: July 31, 2024 or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions</p> <h3>Job Summary:</h3> <p>Under general supervision, interpret testimony for a variety of proceeding before the court as required by law for all court proceedings.</p> <h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Provide interpretive and translation services for court proceedings for defendants, victims, or witnesses.</li> <li>Providing interpreter and translation services during proceedings before the court.</li> <li>Provide interpretive services for external agencies to perform psychological evaluations for law enforcement agencies, the Public Defender's Office, and the District Attorney's Office.</li> <li>Translate various court related documents including letters, legal documents, and other forms as needed.</li> </ul> <h3>Minimum Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>Current Wisconsin Resident</li> <li>Wisconsin Driver's License</li> <li>One year of experience working as a State Certified Court Interpreter</li> <li>State of Wisconsin Certification as a Spanish/English Interpreter</li> </ul> <p>This ORIGINAL APPLICATION is open to qualified residents of the State of Wisconsin at the time of application.
