Read more about our commitment to Rust technology in our Rust Foundation Membership spotlight: <a href="https://foundation.rust-lang.org/news/2022-09-27-member-spotlight-keyrock/">Keyrock Rust Foundation Membership Spotlight</a>.</p><h3>We are looking for a Head of Engineering/Engineering Lead to:</h3><ul><li>Specialised in low latency option HFT trading</li><li>Capable of leading a team of engineers (currently 7 engineers)</li><li>Pragmatic in their approach to problem solving and the design of solutions</li></ul><h3>Background and experience</h3><ul><li>Expert in High-Frequency Options Trading systems (7+ years experience)</li><li>Very strong experience with either Rust and/or C/C++</li><li>Willingness to become an expert in Rust (if not already)</li><li>Excellent understanding of algorithmic option trading</li><li>Experience working with SQL databases</li><li>Familiarity with functional and component testing</li><li>Low-latency options experience</li><li>Previous experience with crypto exchange connectivity and/or FPGA technologies is strongly preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of gRPC and interaction with Node.js is also strongly preferred</li></ul><h3>Competences and personality</h3><ul><li>Team player willing to lead, mentor, and guide other team members</li><li>Problem-solving and pragmatic approach to system design and implementation</li><li>Outside the box thinking</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively - especially when encountering unfamiliar contexts where clarity is critical</li></ul><h3>Recruitment process</h3><ul><li>Initial HR interview</li><li>Interview with the heads of the Options business unit</li><li>Technical challenge (homework type, it is neither a live coding challenge nor pair programming)</li><li>Challenge debrief (a discussion where you present your solution, guide us through your thought process, and receive feedback)</li><li>Offer</li></ul><h3>Our recruitment process typically lasts 2-4 weeks</h3><h3>Our recruitment philosophy</h3><p>We believe the most important aspect of our recruitment process is self-awareness: we are looking for people who have a clear understanding of themselves and what they are looking for in their professional career.
