 Client is hiring for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this position, you will be designing, developing, and maintaining Android Apps and/or SDKs for an industry leading CGM device, to help improve the lives of people with diabetes. You will be joining a well-established company that&rsquo;s on an upward growth trajectory.

   You will design and build applications for the Android platform
  </li>
  <li>
   You&rsquo;ll implement requirements on Android apps, write and update design documents
  </li>
  <li>
   We&rsquo;ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency
  </li>
  <li>
   You&rsquo;ll interface with software test to ensure high quality product
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop automated unit and integration tests
  </li>
  <li>
   You&rsquo;ll participate in design, code and test reviews, provide technical leadership
  </li>

   You will propose and implement enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability

  What Makes You Successful

 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science or related field.
  </li>
  <li>
   You have a minimum 2 years of native Android app development experience using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and 5 years of professional software development experience
  </li>
  <li>
   You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding
  </li>
  <li>
   You have experience working in Agile teams &amp; using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  </li>
  <li>
   You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions
  </li>
  <li>
   You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow
  </li>
  <li>
   You have experience writing automated tests
  </li>
  <li>
   You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

  MUST HAVE
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   4 years of professional Android experience with 3 of those years being the most recent.
  </li>
  <li>
   At least 3 years of Kotlin programming experience.
  </li>
  <li>
   Must have shipped an application that was delivered to the Google Play Store.
  </li>
  <li>
   A technical degree in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desired; in lieu of a technical degree 4 additional years of engineering experience with Java or Kotlin, preferably mobile is acceptable instead.
  </li>
  <li>
   Must have 2yrs of Jetpack Compose development experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Must be located in Southern California (125 miles from 6290 Sequence Dr San Diego)
