 Join our team in Spain based in our Madrid or Barcelona office as a Legal Counsel. As a Legal Counsel for Spain your primary objective is to proactively identify and mitigate all legal risks relating to the real estate development and operations (including related infrastructure, power connection and renewable energy projects) in relation to our data centre and light industrial / logistics asset classes with a strong focus on energy and construction law and on procurement.

 More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to:
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Draft, review, negotiate and manage agreements and other legal documents in relation to the development of data centre and light industrial / logistics projects (e.g. energy, power and grid connection and use, RIBA and other design engineering and architect services, EPC agreements, including Fidic yellow and silver book, procurement) and related renewable energy and other innovative projects (e.g. PV installations, PPA&rsquo;s and other energy trading agreements, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, battery installations, waste heat use, wind&hellip;);
  </li>
  <li>
   Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, case law, and industry trends impacting the company, and proactively advise the organisation on potential legal risks and opportunities;
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure compliance with the company&rsquo;s policies, standards and values. Train and educate the Spanish team on relevant legal and compliance matters, and foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance;
  </li>
  <li>
   Involving and manage external law firms in an effective and timely way and at fair cost;
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensuring the coordination of legal disputes and/or litigation;
  </li>
  <li>
   Working in close collaboration with the other Legal Counsel in Madrid and the European legal team, the Spanish business team (business and technical development and asset management) and the wider European team.

 </ul>
 Do you recognize yourself?
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Master degree in law from a Spanish university. Additional degree or LLM is considered a plus;
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent knowledge of contract law, construction law and energy law with a strong interest in all regulatory changes triggered by sustainability.
  </li>
  <li>
   At least 8 years of proven experience as a legal counsel or a similar role in a company or law firm of which minimum 5 years in construction law for major (infrastructure) projects and/or data centers;
  </li>
  <li>
   The ideal candidat should have experience with drafting, negotiating and managing contracts relating to energy, power and grid connection and use, RIBA and other design engineering and architect services, EPC agreements, including Fidic yellow and silver book, procurement and contracts for related renewable energy and other innovative projects (e.g. PV installations, PPA&rsquo;s and other energy trading agreements, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, battery installations, waste heat use, wind&hellip;);
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills;
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work without significant supervision, and independently handle most complex legal matters.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work on multiple projects and in different teams with a strong eye for meeting deadlines;
  </li>
  <li>
   High ethical standards and professionalism living Goodman&rsquo;s values of innovation, determination, integrity and sustainability by example;
  </li>
  <li>
   Perfect knowledge of Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Additional knowledge of Catalan is a plus.
  </li>
  <li>
   Able to travel (e.g. short periods of maximum two days in Spain or to Belgium) on short notice and to work on multiple projects under tight time pressure in a fast-changing environment;
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience in international projects required;
  </li>
  <li>
   Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
