Job Description
SHIFT SCHEDULE: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM JOB SUMMARY: Prepare detailed working diagrams or technical shop drawings of tungsten carbide products in accordance with manufacturing process and quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics or computer generated reports. · Confer with engineering team or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions or provide technical information. · Create technical manufacturing prints for production of tungsten carbide products. · Calculates amount of extra stock to be added to product for manufacturing and re-designs customers print in SolidWorks with calculated stock. · Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. · Determine and generate proper shrink factors to be applied on manufacturing prints based on material lot being utilized. · Use SolidWorks to apply shrink factor to production prints. · Print and attach manufacturing prints for production. · Communicate with Hard Inspector to determine trends with product shrinkage. · Adjust shrink factor if nonconformance, production problems or trends are determined. · Comply with company safety and quality policies/procedures. · Report issues which may result in poor quality to Engineering Supervisor. · Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility. · Report to work daily and on time unless otherwise excused. · Use micrometers/calipers and other measuring tools to inspect product. · Wear assigned PPE to safely perform tasks. · Wear steel-toed boots for the duration of shift · Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment · Attend company sponsored training when necessary · Maintain a positive and professional attitude · Performs other duties as assigned or needed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Ability to read and write · Attention to detail · Ability to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions given by management · Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers Qualifications - Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Proficiency in CAMWorks, SolidWorks, and other CAD software - Experience in mechanical design, drafting, and system design - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Education: * Associate (Preferred) Work Location: In person
