 We're seeking a passionate teacher for a part-time role at our primary school in Hong Kong.

  Working hours:

   8:00 a.m. &ndash; 1:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays
  </li>
  <li>
   Meeting is required 1 day per week in the afternoons (exact day and times TBC)
  </li>

   2nd September 2024 - 30th June 2025

 </ul>
 <strong>
  No. of lessons each week:

   Two double lessons (70 minutes) for junior form students each week.
  </li>
  <li>
   Approximately 20 thirty-five-minute lessons for junior form students each week in total.

  No. of co-planning and evaluation meetings:

  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Approximately one 70-minute timetabled co-planning meeting with junior form English teachers each week.
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
 <strong>
  Duties:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Co-teach with junior form English teachers in carrying out the Space Town Programme designed by the EDB.
  </li>
  <li>
   Co-plan with junior form English teachers and Classroom Assistants regularly as timetabled during school hours.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare lesson plans, worksheet adaptation and agenda items prior to co-planning meetings.
  </li>
  <li>
   Participate in co-planning meetings (taking turns to chair the meetings) and keep records/minutes of all co-planning meetings in
  </li>
  <li>
   the teacher&rsquo;s drive.
  </li>
  <li>
   Instruct classroom assistants in preparing and ordering all related teaching resources and materials.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide ongoing professional feedback and support for existing English teachers to carry out a Space Town lesson and modify their teaching strategies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct evaluation meetings mid-year and at the end of the programme for reviewing and evaluating the programme and students&rsquo; performances.
  </li>
  <li>
   Administer junior form levelling assessments twice a year using PM Benchmark. Analysis results to obtain reading levels and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
  </li>
  <li>
   Execute other subject related work and programmes, which should be shared with the NET equally, including but not limited to the followings, Buddy Reading Scheme, morning assemblies, gate duty, singing contest, co-ordination of school campus TV programmes, TSA, hall display boards, ECA, English Theme Days, Sports Day, Picnic Day, In-house P.D (alongside NET/AT), Speech Festival Rehearsals, Graduation Ceremony, etc.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist NET with the completion of relevant EDB documents and surveys such as mid-year and end of year review of Advisory Teacher (AT) and Advisory Teaching Team (ATT).

  Requirements
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Fluent English speaker
  </li>
  <li>
   Degree (in any discipline)
  </li>
  <li>
   TEFL / TESOL Certification
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience teaching Primary aged students preferred
  </li>
  <li>
   Space Town Programme experience preferred
