Job Description

Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in quality assurance and production management. The ideal candidate will possess high emotional intelligence, mechanical inspection expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Integrated Quality and Production Management:
- Lead and manage the inspection department while overseeing production processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Communicate the department’s vision, minimizing queue times, and ensuring effective prioritization across quality and production tasks.
- Address personnel needs and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that supports both quality assurance and production goals.
- Provide clear communication to management regarding inspection challenges, production bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the handling of returned parts from customers, including investigations, analyses, syntheses, and customer communications.
- Initiate and track both internal and external corrective and preventive actions, integrating these initiatives across production and quality operations.
- Manage the calibration technician to ensure all shop floor tools are calibrated, supporting both quality control and production efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with AS9100 standards while maintaining open communication with customers on all quality-related issues.
- Coordinate source inspections, perform thorough contract reviews, and develop mechanical inspection instructions in job routers.
- Monitor and improve supplier process capability and quality performance, aligning with overall production strategies.
- Optimize production processes to ensure efficient, high-quality output that meets customer and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across both quality and production departments, reducing waste and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Implement and track production metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead production planning and scheduling, ensuring that resources are allocated to meet demand forecasts while upholding quality standards.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity throughout the manufacturing environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of quality management experience
- 3+ years of mechanical inspection experience (CMM knowledge preferred)

- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
