Job Description

Basic Job Description:
The Production Supervisor has the responsibility for the achievement of daily production in managing their departments to achieve the overall production schedule.
Specific Responsibilities:
Production Operations
* Manage and direct the production employees in the fabrication, bagger (RTE), forming or packing departments to achieve daily production schedules.
* Review of e-time
* Prepare and sign necessary paperwork
* Foster a team environment with all Day-Lee employees
* Coordinate activities with Maintenance and Quality Control to ensure production down time is limited and product quality is high.
* Insure that all USDA regulations are understood and communicated to the production work force.
* Insure that all OSHA regulations are understood and communicated to the production work force.
* Scheduling for employees
* Responsible for safety results in managed department.
* Control the left over material.
* Control of W.I.P.
* Training of employees in their specific areas of duties.
* Other duties may be assigned by Manager.
Completing daily reporting: Production report, Absent report, Down time report, Pre-op report, Machine condition report, Scrap report, and Request for Material.
Requirements:
* 5 to 10 years experience in a food-processing environment, at supervisor level.
* Effective English verbal and written communication skills.
* Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks
* High School Diploma required.
Environment Description:
* Fast Paced
* Able to work in cold, wet and hot & noisy environment.
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to lift to regular lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Speficic vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, necessary to provide production floor coverage.
* Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walk; stand, reach over shoulder, reach overhead, reach outward, bend, talk, hear, and repetitive motions stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell and walk up and down staircase, carrying materials, product, and other necessary production or maintenance related items.
Schedule : 1st shift 6:00am - 2:30pm (hours can vary)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
