Staff who work on our unit have varied career and promotion pathways, with many successfully taking on senior opportunities as Charge and Senior Charge Nurses across Scotland. Staff also go on to advance practice. About the Post: We are looking for experienced registered nurses, who are interested in a dynamic clinical role working with a wide variation of patient groups and multi-professional teams. The role offers autonomy and acting independently within the bounds of existing knowledge and skills. For our staff to gain the most experience within AMRU we run a staff rotation model so that everyone can gain an all-round experience and skills mix, setting them up for success in more opportunities in the future. This is a collaborative role working within the nursing and with a multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care. Day-to-day work involves assessing the emotional and physical care needs of patients and carrying out the different technical/invasive/physical aspects of care. A respiratory zone example includes: caring for patients who have a simple exacerbation of COPD up to patients requiring non-invasive ventilation / high flow nasal oxygen. In other hospitals this group would be in a medical high dependency unit, meaning at AMRU GRI staff can learn how to manage and care for patients in their most acute period of care. If you are interested in working for a unit where you're embraced and celebrated and you can perfect incredible skills and experience across medical specialties and a wide variation of patients with great team members apply today! What we are looking for: A qualified nurse who holds a valid NMC pin, who is adaptable and able to work as part of a team and has an empathetic and caring approach.
