<p>About the Company:</p><p>We are working with a large defence consultancy company who are pretty new to the space sector.</p><p>About the Role:</p><p>You will work as part of a team of industry specialists providing consulting services to major Defence & Security clients, quickly building upon your existing industry knowledge to become an expert in your field. They transform clients’ core business and operations, helping them prepare for growth, adapt to budgetary constraints, embrace the digital agenda and maximize operational efficiency.</p><p>Operating Model Design:</p><ul><li>Understanding the as-is and to-be for the organization, in order to create the optimal business architecture for successful strategy realization in a digital age.</li></ul><p>Service Design:</p><ul><li>Puts people at the heart of the services we design, ensuring that our solutions deliver the best experiences and the maximum value to users, customers, and staff.</li></ul><p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Helping clients solve complex issues by performing analysis, providing recommendations, and utilising a combination of experience, industry knowledge, tools, and technology.</li><li>Working with a range of stakeholders both internally and in client organisations.</li><li>Taking responsibility for the delivery of packages of work to adequate time and quality considerations.</li><li>Managing a small number of team members.</li><li>Identifying and escalating risks and issues.</li><li>Contributing to business development and practice management activity.</li><li>Contributing to internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development, and supporting knowledge capture and sharing.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Strong understanding of the space sector, strategies, trends, and technologies, particularly for defence & security clients.</li><li>Experience in developing a pipeline of opportunities, account management, and bid writing.</li><li>Previous experience within a consulting firm in a client-facing role, delivering consulting projects.</li><li>Strong project management disciplines, including production of detailed project plans and working and delivering to strict time constraints.</li><li>A passion for making a difference to society through a balance of logical hands-on problem-solving skills and cutting-edge thinking.</li><li>Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project.</li><li>Ability to operate in ambiguous and rapidly changing circumstances.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment.</li></ul><p>Desirable:</p><ul><li>Experience working with the UK Ministry of Defence, with an established network of contacts, ideally within UK Space Command, DE&S and UK Strategic Command.</li></ul>
