  EMBS Engineering has been requested by a leading precision engineering SME that specialises in the manufacture, through fabrication and machining, medium-sized, complex components for high-profile industries including Aerospace, Defence and Power to name a few.
 </p>

 <p>
  Following recent internal changes, our client is seeking an Operations Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. This person will be overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing operations.
 </p>
 <p>
  <br/>

 </p>
 <p>
  The successful person will be responsible for site-level operational activities for circa 100 people and 6 direct reports, and longer-term performance improvement projects including;
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Sales Input
  </li>
  <li>
   Business Processes &amp; Operational Excellence
  </li>
  <li>
   Financial Performance - budget management etc.
  </li>
  <li>
   Execution of Business Strategy
  </li>
 </ul>
 <p>
  <br/>
 </p>
 <p>
  Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Strong precision engineering / advanced manufacturing background
  </li>
  <li>
   Ideally worked within the aerospace / defence / power would be advantageous
  </li>
  <li>
   An understanding of fabrication, assembly and/or machining processes
  </li>
  <li>
   Held an Operational Management position previously
  </li>
  <li>
   Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence initiatives
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  </li>
  <li>
   Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant methodologies is a plus
  </li>
 </ul>

   Competitive salary (&pound;60,000 - &pound;75,000 p.a) Depending on experience

   25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  </li>

   Hours: Monday &ndash; Thursday: 7.30am &ndash; 4.30pm, Friday: 7.30am &ndash; 12.30pm
