Job Description

<h3>Instructional Designer Responsibilities:</h3><p>The Instructional Designer works with faculty to design and develop materials and academic online and face to face courses grounded in sound educational theory and best practices in instructional design and instructional technology using multimedia.</p><ul><li>Instructional knowledge at learning based on objectives and rubrics.</li><li>Align content under quality matters standards within the Institutional template.</li><li>Works with faculty, Subject Matter Experts, and the Multimedia Developer to understand the requirements, goals, and needs of the online course content such as educational interactions visual analogies, maps, lists, graphs, tables, and charts, comparisons, and contrast, colorful descriptions, sequence indicators, comparative dimensions, or other ways of narrative visualization.</li><li>Consults with the Virtual Education and Innovative Learning/Virtual Education Coordinator, faculty, and course design staff in the development and evaluation of online and hybrid course materials, teaching, and assessment techniques to promote effective teaching and learning through formative and summative evaluation procedures.</li><li>Provides faculty development course design workshops based on pedagogical practices of online teaching-learning and other training activities associated with these functions.</li><li>Designs and selects materials, and instructional uses of new technologies; recommends procedures and solutions for effective learning and instruction.</li><li>Assures that the course design complies with the established PUPR standards to define the quality of college-level online and hybrid courses.</li><li>Integrate digital content E-books and open educational resources in the course design structure or LMS.</li><li>Perform essential functions and required duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li>M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology Integration with E-Learning – Instructional Design/Educational Technology and/or four-years’ experience of Instructional Design at the higher education level.</li></ul>
