We innovate constantly, and we are relentless in our pursuit of the best.</p><p>Manufacturing Engineering (ME) participates in the entire product development process to ensure manufacturing feasibility and to prepare the manufacturing plants for new products.</p><p>The Strategy & Support team are responsible for all cross-functional activities within Manufacturing Engineering. The very diverse team currently consists of six experts at HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden, working with manufacturing cyber security, manufacturing geometry assurance, digital processes and tools development, operational development and documentation. Part of the team are also three members in the plant in Chongqing, China, responsible for manufacturing launch.</p><p>We're currently looking for an Operational Development Manager for the ME department that will work with continuously improving the working processes. Communication and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering colleagues and representatives for other business areas are essential to succeed in the role.</p><h3>The responsibilities</h3><p>The Operational Development Manager within Manufacturing Engineering department works with identifying, mapping and continuously improving new and existing working processes within and connected to the Manufacturing Engineering processes, taking supplier input and output to customer into account.</p><p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Structure, create and maintain maps describing Manufacturing Engineering processes</li><li>Add and maintain Manufacturing Engineering processes in Polestar Management System (PSMS) and in Polestar Product Development System (PSDS)</li><li>Lead Operational Development Projects to improve ways of working at Manufacturing Engineering</li><li>Represent Manufacturing Engineering in operational development projects led by other business areas</li><li>Manufacturing Engineering representative in Cross Functional Process Approval Fora</li><li>Coordinate ME impact responses to Engineering Change Requests (ECR)</li><li>Owner of Manufacturing Engineering Change Management Process</li></ul><h3>The ideal candidates</h3><p>You have excellent communication skills, are organized and have a yes-can-do approach.
