  We are looking for a self-driven and ambitious
  <strong>
   Business Controller
  </strong>
  to join our team in Oslo. You will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

   Role &amp; Responsibilities:
  </strong>
 </p>
 <p>
  <br/>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Maintain and update marketing &amp; distribution budgets of the Opera group.
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with department heads and their teams to update budgets and forecasts.
  </li>
  <li>
   Work closely with department heads to help them drive financial performance and ensure budget alignment and financial discipline.
  </li>
  <li>
   Review and approve various contracts and expenses/invoices.
  </li>
  <li>
   Train new employees on budgeting and invoice/contract approval.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform internal controls and prepare monthly accruals during the period end close.
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist teams with preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  </li>
  <li>
   Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, controls and policies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support and collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders on the business side
  </li>
  <li>
   Analyze expenses, return on investments and ad hoc analytics of various projects and initiatives
  </li>

   Job Requirements:
  </strong>
 </p>

  <br/>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with a Major in Finance/Financial Analytics.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong analytical and technical skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent communication skills in English.
  </li>
  <li>
   General understanding of accounting principles.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proven experience as a Business Controller or a comparable role, preferably within a similar industry with multiple sites and international operating environment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prior experience with Workday, SAP or other ERP systems is desirable.
  </li>
  <li>
   Responsive, proactive, and positive attitude with a willingness to help.
  </li>
 </ul>
