  JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 </p>
 The Dairy Nutrition laboratory of Dr. Alex Hristov in the Department of Animal Science is seeking a highly motivated and organized research assistant. It would be ideal for the candidate for this position to have obtained a bachelor's degree. Furthermore, it is preferred if the individual has some laboratory and large animal experience but can be trained by other lab members if needed. Main responsibilities will include participation and management of research projects with dairy cattle at the Department of Animal Science&rsquo;s Dairy Research and Teaching Center. Duties of this position include weighing cattle refusal feed, collecting feed samples, and assisting graduate students in their research trials and with other sample collection (fecals, urine, blood, rumen contents, etc.). General care and cleaning of the lab and research areas is also expected. Individuals need to be detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working independently.

 Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
