 Duggar &amp; Traylor, LLC is a tax based accounting practice in Jacksonville, FL. We are seeking a tax staff accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various accounting functions, with a focus on tax accounting and regulatory reporting.
 <br/>
 <br/>
 We work with many small businesses and individuals to provide tax and accounting services. We are looking for a dependable professional with excellent communication skills and experience working with QuickBooks accounting software.

 <br/>
 Responsibilities:
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Duties including data entry, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, journal entries, analyzing and recording payroll entries, and financial statement preparation
  </li>
  <li>
   Manage numerous monthly and quarterly accounting tasks working with various clients
  </li>
  <li>
   Payroll and sales tax return preparation
  </li>
  <li>
   Compile and file Form 1099s
  </li>
  <li>
   Communication with clients and staff on various issues
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with tax preparation input

 Skills/Qualifications:

 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related field preferred, or comparable work experience
  </li>
  <li>
   1-2 years of full charge accounting experience in public accounting (must be able to receive raw data and be able to prepare year-end reports that are tax return ready)
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of debits and credits, general ledger accounting tasks
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software (online and desktop) and ability to troubleshoot with clients
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  </li>
  <li>
   High attention to detail
  </li>
  <li>
   Tax return preparation and CPA firm experience a plus
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with ProSeries tax preparation software a plus

 </ul>
 Schedule
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm, ability to work overtime during our peak season February through April
  </li>
  <li>
   In-office position
