  Position Summary
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 The Estimator is responsible for leading, managing and developing project estimates, estimate plans, contributing to and overseeing the detailed development of the estimates, coordinating with other departments and/or offices as required and conducting estimate reviews with senior management.

  Primary Responsibilities
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Takes on a lead role in estimate planning, development, reviews and submittals
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare and develop estimate/bid packages, ensuring all required documentation/information is included;
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop estimate plan and basis of estimate documents;
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop various phases of FEL estimates (Conceptual to Detailed estimates)
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop and adhere to estimates/proposal timelines and deliverable requirements;
  </li>
  <li>
   Work with engineering disciplines for quantity take-offs and/or prepare quantity take-offs from detailed drawings (earthworks, concrete, structural, equipment installation, piping fabrication, installation and pressure testing, electrical and instrumentation);
  </li>
  <li>
   Work with procurement and sub-contracts in development of RFQ packages to receive pricing for estimates;
  </li>
  <li>
   Coordinate and work with all discipline team members to incorporate execution plans and best practices into the estimate basis (Engineering, Construction, Human Resources, Supply Chain);
  </li>
  <li>
   Lead strategy to win, estimate kick-off, estimate update and estimate review meetings with project teams and management;
  </li>
  <li>
   Represent estimating department as a primary point of contact;
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop and adhere to pricing sheets, rate tables and other client specific requirements;
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist and support in development of proposal strategy, execution plans and pricing

  Qualifications
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   12+ years of experience in an estimating role, preferably in an industrial construction environment; Degree, diploma, or certificate in Construction Science, Engineering or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution, engineering design, trade certificates, and/or field experience are definite assets;
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience estimating and working on large capital construction projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Aspen Capital Cost Estimating software knowledge and experience is preferred; Cleopatra estimating software knowledge a plus
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficient with reading construction drawings and specifications, performing material take-offs and quantifying scopes of work to translate into cost estimates;
  </li>
  <li>
   Heavy industrial field project experience and execution a plus;
  </li>
  <li>
   Detail oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills;
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficient with Microsoft office software tools (MS Word and Excel);
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and client
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism
