   Ledgent is partnering with a general contractor looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their team. Ideal candidate would have 3+ years of payroll processing experience within a similar industry (exposure to multi-state, union, payroll processing).
  </strong>

   This is a direct hire position. $65,000-$75,000 depending upon qualifications. On-site in the northwest metro. Flexible schedule (7-3, 8-4, 9-5, etc.).

   Job Description:
  </strong>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Process payroll for roughly 400 union and non union employees.
  </li>
  <li>
   Review reported employee time records; contact appropriate supervisors for any incomplete or unusual information.
  </li>
  <li>
   Accurately enter/proof all employee time information for paycheck, tax reporting, and other report processing
  </li>
  <li>
   Analyze, prepare, and upload payroll journal entries using an automated payroll system; verify completion of payments for tax withholding, employer taxes, dues, benefits, garnishments, etc.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare and distribute net pay (payroll checks and direct deposit entries) timely and accurately
  </li>
  <li>
   Compile and distribute the weekly labor utilization report to all appropriate managers.
  </li>
  <li>
   Complete the vacation and sick time accounting system tracking every pay period.
  </li>
  <li>
   Review payroll to ensure it is processed in accordance with appropriate prevailing wage law.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare and submit certified payroll for government projects when required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Set-up Projects and import into electronic timesheet system.
  </li>
  <li>
   Calculate, review, and transmit all funds and data relating to 401(k) employee contributions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Complete correspondences regarding payroll information for unemployment agencies, IRS, and Dept. of Labor.
  </li>
  <li>
   Preparation of shop utilization reports for the shop's review each week.
  </li>
 </ul>

   Requirements:
  </strong>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   3+ years of payroll processing experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience working within the construction industry (preferred)
  </li>
  <li>
   Comfortable working on site
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
