 As an integral team member, the Payroll Specialist collaborates with members of the Pacific Seafood Team Member Services team to provide timely payroll processing for several locations in multiple states. Demonstrating key competencies in timeliness, analytics, and payroll, you will assist the payroll manager by auditing incoming payroll data and processes to assist with HR reporting.

 As a team member, you are adept at building positive relationships across multiple departments, working collaboratively to communicate tasks, implement changes, and resolve issues.

  Key Responsibilities:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Process hourly and salaried payrolls including timesheet exceptions, bonuses, other earnings, and deductions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Monitor payroll for accuracy and work with plant personnel to correct errors.
  </li>
  <li>
   Respond to subpoenas demanding employee status and wage information and inquiries from employees regarding paychecks.
  </li>
  <li>
   Create and distribute KPI analytical reports
  </li>
  <li>
   Compile payroll data such as vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain current knowledge of wage and hour regulations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain comprehensive documentation on payroll issues and conduct regular compliance audits.
  </li>
  <li>
   Reconcile payroll accounts, including outstanding check reconciliation.
  </li>
  <li>
   Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process and meet deadlines.
  </li>
  <li>
   Retrieve electronic time clock hours and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist in the processing of all garnishments, wage attachments and child support orders as needed.
  </li>
  <li>
   Facilitate unclaimed property and payroll protocols.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform other duties, as assigned

  What you bring to Pacific Seafood:

   Required:
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </strong>

   Minimum 3 years of progressive payroll processing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  </li>
  <li>
   High Proficiency in MS Excel
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience using UltiPro or similar HRIS
  </li>
  <li>
   Prior experience in multi -state payroll processing

  </li>

   BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
