 NIA is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Health Specialist, Data Management and Sharing Analyst within the Division of Neuroscience.

 Role

 <br/>
 The Data Management and Sharing Analyst (DMSA) will work closely with program officers, other DMSAs, and the extramural scientific community to ensure adherence to NIH data management and sharing policies and to promote the FAIR principles.
 <br/>

  Specific Duties
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Stay abreast of evolving NIH data management and sharing policies, guidelines, and initiatives, and actively contribute to the improvement of data management practices within the organization to ensure alignment with NIH requirements.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain a working knowledge of types of NIH-supported data repositories, including types of data accepted by the repository and requirements for the repository.
  </li>
  <li>
   Establish processes/procedures for monitoring and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of Data Management and Sharing Plans for grant applications under funding consideration.
  </li>
  <li>
   Review of checklists in PMM to ensure the accuracy of DMS questions and timeliness of submission of checklists.
  </li>
  <li>
   Established processes/procedures for tracking and evaluation of DMS-related outcomes for funded awards, including follow-up with PIs on DMS plan progress and advice/guidance of data submissions to NIA-sponsored repositories.
  </li>
  <li>
   Compile information and data for DMS-related reports and presentations to senior leadership.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provides administrative support and expertise to program officials organizing workshops on data management and sharing.
  </li>
  <li>
   Leads and/or works with other DMSAs in the development, management, and evaluation of tools and resources related to DMS.
  </li>
  <li>
   Attending DN&rsquo;s DMS weekly calls and sharing information with the respective branches.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide training and support to researchers and program staff on NIH data management and sharing policies, best practices, and tools to enhance compliance and promote responsible data stewardship.

  The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   A relevant health-related doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc.)
  </li>
  <li>
   Skills and experience in the coordination of clinical research projects and/or clinical trials
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong organizational skills
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent written and oral communication, including strong skills in developing presentations and briefing materials
  </li>
  <li>
   Working knowledge of NIH funding mechanisms and grants management
  </li>
  <li>
   Self-starter capable of working independently and as a team player
  </li>
  <li>
   Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. National. Foreign nationals or legal permanent residents are not eligible for consideration. Candidates must indicate their U.S. citizenship status on their CV or within their email application submission.
