  We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Legal Proofreader to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of legal terminology and documentation, combined with exceptional grammar and proofreading skills. The Legal Proofreader will be responsible for reviewing and editing legal documents, ensuring precision, coherence, and adherence to our high-quality standards.

   Shift Openings:

  </strong>
  openings for
  <em>
   different
  </em>
  shifts:
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   1) Shift: Wednesday - Sunday 4:00 p.m - 12:00 a.m.
  </li>
  <li>
   2) Shift: Monday - Friday 12:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
  </li>
 </ul>
 <p>

 </p>
 <p>
  <strong>
   Responsibilities:
  </strong>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Proofread legal documents such as contracts, agreements, court filings, briefs, and correspondence for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  </li>
  <li>
   Identify and correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and syntax.
  </li>
  <li>
   Cold reads.
  </li>
  <li>
   Full reads.
  </li>
  <li>
   Manual redlining and blacklining.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with Adobe&rsquo;s annotating tool for marking PDFs.
  </li>
  <li>
   Creating PDFs using E-copy of proofreading mark-ups.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proofread audio and video transcriptions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assisting when needed in handling and monitoring incoming e-mail requests.
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  </li>
 </ul>

   Qualifications:
  </strong>
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Proven experience, at least 5 as a Legal Proofreader, Editor, or similar role.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with legal software and document management systems is a plus.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong understanding of legal terminology and document types.
  </li>
 </ul>
