JOB SUMMARY: This is a Tax Specialist I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting, Account Services Unit. The incumbent research, processes, and responds to written and verbal inquiries that affect taxpayer refunds. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Two years of experience communicating with customers for the purpose of resolving inquiries. * Two years of experience conducting research and analyzing information to make decisions. * One year of experience applying rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. PREFERENCES: * Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax law. * Experience reviewing and/or making adjustments to account balance in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX). SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,798.59 monthly/$45,583.08 annually.
