EIRE Systems is seeking a Bilingual Applications Support Engineer to join our team, working on-site with a leading global financial services client, supporting their Electronic Trading Systems in a front-office operations environment. This role involves managing client connectivity and next-generation trading platforms in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. It offers a unique blend of technical and business challenges, providing hands-on experience with cutting-edge electronic trading technologies while directly supporting the front office in real-time trading operations.  
  
About the Job:  
As part of our team, you will provide real-time production support for electronic trading systems and external client connectivity. You will work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical trading platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a deep understanding of trading technologies while enhancing your technical skills.  
  
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Providing real-time production support for electronic trading systems and external client connectivity.
* Collaborating closely with engineering and development teams to design, build, and maintain systems.
* Troubleshooting issues across the entire technology stack, including hardware, software, applications, and networks.
* Identifying and driving opportunities to improve automation for deployment, management, and visibility of services.
* Proactively identifying and addressing system reliability risks.
* Working alongside global and regional team members in a follow-the-sun model.
* Representing the Reliability & Production Engineering (RPE) organization in design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.
We would like to talk to you if you:
* Have prior experience with server applications in a Linux/Unix environment.
* Possess conceptual awareness of scripting languages such as SQL, C++, or Python.
* Are fluent in Japanese at a business level.
* Are knowledgeable about financial markets, with experience in the FIX protocol (preferred).
* Have familiarity with electronic trading systems (a plus).
* Are passionate about working with distributed systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
* Thrive in dynamic environments, excelling at multitasking and solving complex technical challenges.
* Are driven by continuous growth, collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership.
