Your working environment
 You are part of a team which is responsible for providing timely and accurate month end close financials that are US-GAAP and German GAAP compliant. Overseeing and maintaining the accounting procedures regarding supplier and customer relationships and ensuring it’s quality of registrations is part of your responsibilities. You will work with Sourcing and Supply Chain team by defining clear accounting processes for a variety of business transactions.
   
  
 Within ASML’s Finance 2025 vision we transform from forecasting and budgeting based on historical trend information and run rates, towards predictive modelling that support the budgeting and forecasting processes from a G/L accounting perspective in the coming years. We need your help to deliver on this transition. The role is part of a highly driven global team, working together with different parts of the organization in the business environment of ASML. You will be exposed to several senior management layers in the organization.
   
  
Your tasks
 As " G/L Accountant ", you will:
   
  
* handle alignments for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
* organize the weekly payment run.
* maintain and manage standard period-end closing schedules.
* document and maintain General Ledger processes and controls, including identifying and testing relevant SOX controls.
* post journal entries in SAP R3.
* manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
* reconcile balance sheet accounts.
* assist in preparing ad-hoc reports for management.
* support year-end audits.
* help with preparing month-end financial statements.
* proactively identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate processes using market best practices, collaborating with data scientists to execute projects.
* undertake ad-hoc projects as required.
Your Qualifications
* You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Analytics, Accounting, or Controlling.
* You bring over 5 years of relevant experience as a G/L accountant, ideally in an industrial setting.
* You are knowledgeable about business processes in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
* You have experience in visualizing data and generating insights using mainstream BI tools, with strong proficiency in Excel.
* You are experienced in handling invoices.
* You possess knowledge of German GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
* You are familiar with VAT tax rules regarding invoices.
* You have hands-on experience with SAP R3.
* You have the ability to extract data and make (complex) transformations.
* You support the transformation into a digitalized invoice handling world.
* You have experience / knowledge in (financial) data modelling, experience in Financial Planning cycles is an advantage
* You are fluent in both English and German.
