Job Description

The Director of Franchise Performance and Brand, a core member of the EMEA Operations team, is responsible for driving commercial and operational performance across affiliated hotels by strategically managing account relationships with owners and partners. This role also ensures the ongoing alignment of operational brand standards with the EMEA brand vision to optimize hotel performance, guest experience and value proposition.
 
  
Your Responsibilities 
PLANNING AND EXECUTION: 
* Establish and review regional targets for each Franchise Performance Manager, evaluating performance and communicating support needs to stakeholders to ensure achievement of budgeted Gross Room Revenue (GRR).
* Identify and address the core needs, expectations, and goals of franchise owners, and propose actionable strategies to the Head of Operations and key stakeholders to strengthen the brand’s value proposition.
  
FRANCHISE SERVICES SUPPORT: 
* Regularly analyze common issues and support requests from franchisees, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop action plans that enhance the franchise experience.
* Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices are consistently updated for compliance, communicating these updates to relevant departments and identifying franchisee training or webinar needs.
* Regularly evaluate and refine the onboarding process, including updates in Salesforce, to streamline franchisee setup and integration.
  
BRAND OPERATIONS: 
* Update brand standards annually with a focus on enhancing sustainability, and design Quality Assurance and Self-Assessment tools to support hotels in achieving compliance effectively.
* Establish a compliance framework for franchisees that includes guidelines on fines, waivers, and implementation timelines to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Ensure all brand standard updates are accurately reflected in franchisee-facing documents, including the Operations Guide and Rules and Regulations for each brand.
  
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies 
* A minimum of 10 years, experience in commercial and/or operational departments in hotel industry, hospitality or another relevant field
* Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field; or equivalent combination or education and work experience and Prior people management experience is desired
* Must have strong business acumen and operational insights
* Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead several projects simultaneously
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to drive results in a team-oriented and cross-functional environment
* Ability to understand technical platforms for connectivity and distribution of reservation systems.
* Excellent communication, training and presentation skills; several languages is desirable
* Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Must be able to uphold Choice’s Values of be bold, be quick, listen, be curious and act with integrity
  
Your Team 
 This is a leader of a team. You will have multiple team members in different operational areas, and you will collaborate with cross-functional departments regularly.
 
  
Your Work Location 
 In this role you will be working hybrid. You can be based in The Netherlands, France or UK. You will be required to travel up to 30% of the time in EMEA region and connect virtually with Choice team members and leadership on video via our platforms.
