Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, the Manager, Logistics will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all inbound, outbound and reverse logistics, and support the strategic development of our logistics network capabilities. The Manager, Logistics will manage the national/central logistics team and provide leadership to teams across 20 operating sites, coast-to-coast. We take pride in our Logistics team providing exceptional customer service, efficiently and consistently. Duties & Responsibilities * Logistics Operations: Lead teams in the daily scheduling of inbound, outbound and reverse logistics, maintaining exceptional service levels, managing costs and efficiency, while aligning with the broader organizational values and objectives. * 3PL Carrier and Owned Fleet Optimization: Manage the daily decision-making process in scheduling and route planning to optimize the use of the company fleet and the choice of 3PL carriers. * Network capacity and utilization: support senior management with strategic development of the logistics network, fleet, and carrier partners. * Cost control: Measure transportation costs, both 3PL and fleet, identify and execute plans to improve efficiency and reduce cost. * Carrier Management: Maintain a balanced portfolio of carrier partners, negotiating competitively and managing business relationships. * Process and system improvements: Utilize and develop the systems that track data and performance, including GPS, driver handheld devices, online tracking systems etc. * Team leadership & Development: Recruit, coach, mentor and manage a motivated, results-oriented and high-performing team. * Performance Management: Both business KPI’s and team / individual performance; measure performance and use the information to drive improvements. * Regulatory Compliance: Be the subject-matter-expert that ensures compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, customs requirements and health & safety protocols. Experience, Skills & Competencies * University degree or equivalent work experience; 5-10 years in logistics and transportation with strong people management skills. * Certification or accreditation from a relevant professional institution. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, and logistics technology (e.g., routing software, GPS). * Expert in Regulatory knowledge regarding customs and transportation regulations. * Excellent verbal and written skills. * Strong negotiation and influencing skills * Able to build and maintain effective team relationships. * Detail-Oriented with high accuracy and strong analytical skills. * Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Proven ability to lead direct and cross-functional teams through change, ensuring high performance and motivation.
