You'll be at the heart of innovation, tackling projects that shape our future, with the best people possible!</p><p><strong>Your Role at Echo</strong></p><p>You will be joining the R&D Team of over 20 Data Enthusiasts. You will work in an environment made up of:</p><ul><li>Data Warehouse (BigQuery, etc.)</li><li>Data streaming platforms (Pub/Sub, Dataflow...)</li><li>Orchestration and scheduling platforms (Airflow)</li><li>Modern deployment (Terraform)</li><li>Management platforms (GCP)</li></ul><p>We are creating a Software team working on the Echo SaaS Platform solution: which allows our customers to visualize and extract data from our different products. Your main challenge will be to bootstrap this new Echo Analytics SaaS platform using best practices in front-end and back-end technologies. Thus, this is a unique opportunity to join, build, and grow a successful start-up leading its market, from the early stages of taking significant decisions in relation to CTO, VP Product and Engineering Managers.</p><p><strong>Your main responsibilities will be:</strong></p><ol><li>Hire, train, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, set performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.</li><li>Oversee software development features, set features timelines, and ensure that features are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and direction to the team, ensure that software development best practices are followed, and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.</li><li>Work closely with other teams, such as product management, to ensure that software products or services meet business requirements and customer needs.</li><li>Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.</li><li>Develop and implement strategic plans for software development, including setting priorities, identifying risks, and making recommendations for process improvements.</li><li>Manage the software development budget, forecast resource needs, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to meet business objectives.</li></ol><p><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>Fluency in English (French is a plus).</li><li>At least 10 years of experience in Software Development at tech companies, including 2 years of experience managing a team of 3+ software engineers.</li><li>Strong experience with the Google Cloud Platform stack.</li><li>Strong experience in backend: Node.js.</li><li>Strong experience in NoSQL architecture: Cassandra, ElasticSearch, MongoDB…</li><li>Experience in Event Architecture (Kafka, Lambda,...).</li><li>Experience in UI (React.JS, Playwright, Next.js..) is a plus.</li><li>Experience in working with foreign teams.</li><li>Strong experience in Agile Methods (Lean is a plus).</li><li>In-depth knowledge of DevOps: GitHub CI/CD.</li></ul><p><strong>Why us?</strong></p><ul><li>A great diverse and international team based in Paris (25+ nationalities!).</li><li>Impact and ownership mindset: at Echo we encourage everyone to take ownership of their projects.</li><li>People first company: without our people we have no business, we have dedicated a People Manifesto to them.</li><li>A contemporary office space in central Paris with a rooftop to admire the view.</li><li>Remote-friendly policy.</li><li>Free coffee, snacks on top of your lunch voucher card (Swile, 10€/ working day).</li><li>Healthcare insurance.</li></ul><p>Feeling like you don’t check all the boxes?
