Job Description

<h3>POSITION SUMMARY</h3><p>The Conference Services Event Coordinator will assist the Director of Conference Services with the coordination of all campus-wide events. This person will coordinate all set up and AV/technical needs for all events on campus, including those taking place in the Ministry & Performing Arts Center or MPAC.</p><h3>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><p>(Any one position may not include all the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification)</p><ul><li>Create and disseminate event documentation to internal staff</li><li>Assist with set up and tear down of all Conference Services events (tables, chairs)</li><li>Schedule and supervise Conference Services student workers</li><li>Schedule, supervise and hire all Conference Services student workers</li><li>Set up and tear down all audio/visual equipment needed for Conference Services events</li><li>Assist with audio/visual needs for weekly Chapel services in the MPAC</li><li>Maintain inventory of all Conference Services audio/visual equipment</li><li>Maintain inventory of all Conference Services set up equipment (tables, chairs)</li><li>Facilitate sign-in/out process for all Conference Services audio/visual equipment</li><li>Assist Director of Conference Services with coordination of camps and camp related inventories</li><li>Work with other departments to coordinate event needs and ensure client satisfaction</li><li>Help maintain and repair all audio/visual equipment on campus</li><li>Assist President with on campus presentations</li></ul><h3>REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h3><p>According to Ohio Christian University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement.</p><h3>Education, Training and Experience:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required</li><li>At least 1 year of event coordination experience</li><li>At least 5 years of A/V experience</li><li>Experience with ProPresenter 7</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint</li></ul><h3>Skill and Ability to:</h3><ul><li>Ability to lead and supervise a team of students</li><li>Administrative and organizational skills</li><li>Communication skills both verbal and written</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours to coincide with event needs</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li></ul><h3>LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMER</h3><p>As a religious educational institution operating under the auspices of The Churches of Christ in Christian Union, Ohio Christian University is permitted and reserves the right to prefer employees on the basis of religion (42 U.S.C., Sections 2000e-1 and 2000e-2).
