We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our San Juan office.<br><br><h3>Job Summary:</h3> As a Staff Accountant at Advanti Global Trading Corp, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, including transactions, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires a high level of accuracy, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.<br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices</li><li>Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary</li><li>Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis</li><li>Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP principles</li><li>Liaise with our financial manager and accounting team to improve financial procedures</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>Proven experience as a staff accountant or relevant role in accounting</li><li>Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles</li><li>Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process</li><li>Excellent accounting software user and administration skills</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills</li><li>Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, accounting software, and databases</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English</li><li>CPA or CMA preferred but not required</li></ul><h3>We Offer:</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>Flexible working arrangements (remote and office-based options)</li><li>A dynamic and supportive work environment</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development</li></ul><h3>How to Apply:</h3> Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience relative to the position's responsibilities and requirements.
