<h3>Job Summary:</h3><p>We are seeking a skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Design & support 24x7 high availability solutions for seamless database operations</li><li>Available for Production/On-call support</li><li>Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies</li><li>Troubleshoot database-related issues</li><li>Collaborate with software developers to design efficient database schemas</li><li>Ensure data security and integrity</li><li>Manage database access and permissions</li></ul><h3>Experience:</h3><p>The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:</p><ul><li>5+ years of proven experience in DB2 or PostgreSQL database administration</li><li>2+ years of proven experience in Snowflake database administration</li><li>Experience working with cloud PaaS DB services</li><li>Jenkins, gitlab/bit-bucket</li><li>Security knowledge & experience (ex: DB encryption/masking/certificates/PKI/SSH/VPN)</li><li>Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems</li><li>Experience with Shell Scripting, ETL, SSIS, Linux, and scripting languages</li><li>Familiarity with vaticinate, performance tuning, high availability concepts</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Computer Science / Engineering / Equivalent qualification degree required</li></ul><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Contract</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong> $45.00 - $50.00 per hour</p><p><strong>Expected hours:</strong> 40 per week</p><h3>Benefits:</h3><ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul><h3>Schedule:</h3><ul><li>8 hour shift</li><li>Day shift</li><li>Evening shift</li><li>Night shift</li><li>On call</li></ul><h3>Experience:</h3><ul><li>MySQL: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Database administration: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Oracle: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul><p><strong>Ability to Commute:</strong></p><ul><li>O'Fallon, MO 63368 (Preferred)</li></ul><p><strong>Ability to Relocate:</strong></p><ul><li>O'Fallon, MO 63368: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul><p><strong>Work Location:</strong> Hybrid remote in O'Fallon, MO 63368</p>
