  JOB PURPOSE
  <p>
   MSC Cruises, the world's third-largest cruise line, is hiring a Specialist for its Public Relations and Communications team. Reporting into the Communications Manager, the Specialist will help the overall communications team with press trip organization, event management and reporting, along with pitching and proof reading. The Specialist will be a key part of supporting the cruise line's continued growth, aiding in new ship announcements and new port openings. The Specialist will join the team at MSC Cruises' Fort Lauderdale offices twice / week, until the company's new Miami headquarters opens in 2025.

  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  <p>
   - Press trip organization, strategy and booking from end-to-end
  </p>
  <p>
   - Event management, project organization and planning for new ships and homeports
  </p>
  <p>
   - Strategic media pitching, press release review and distribution
  </p>
  <p>
   - Preparation of materials for upcoming events, as well as event support in advance and on-site (tracking invites, RSVPs and on-site check-in)
  </p>

   - Daily media monitoring, monthly coverage reports and yearly success metrics tracker
  </p>

  QUALIFICATIONS
  <p>
   - Background in PR &amp; Communications, accustomed to pitching and liaising with media / journalists
  </p>
  <p>
   - Experience booking and organizing press trips
  </p>
  <p>
   - Experience in producing and managing on-brand and in-person events
  </p>
  <p>
   - Experience supporting a complex communications calendar, juggling multiple items at once
  </p>
  <p>
   - Clear communication skills, strong written and verbal English
  </p>
  <p>
   - Able to travel up to 15% of the time, company funded and including international travel
  </p>
  <p>
   - Proficiency working in Spanish-language is a bonus
  </p>
