 As a Public Relations Specialist for Amazon Ads you will provide counsel and partner with business teams to craft and execute programs that support our AdTech services, including the Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud, and Amazon Publisher Services. This includes (but is not limited to) developing and executing both proactive story-telling and announcement-driven earned/owned proactive communications strategies, tactics; ongoing media relations; event support and amplification; collaborating with stakeholders across the Amazon Ads product and marketing teams, as well as Amazon&rsquo;s global PR team; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs for their regions where relevant.

 The successful candidate is customer-obsessed and has high-judgment, as well as excellent communications, media relations, and project management skills. The candidate should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines and managing ambiguity, as well explicit AdTech experience.

 Key job responsibilities
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Spearhead earned and owned proactive communications strategies for our AdTech services
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop and lead PR activations supporting owned and industry events (i.e. unBoxed, Cannes, APS Summit
  </li>
  <li>
   Secure and manage speaking opportunities and relevant amplifications
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide business teams with ongoing strategic counsel and support
  </li>
  <li>
   Build and maintain strong media relationships
  </li>
  <li>
   Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news
  </li>
  <li>
   Support complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges

  Basic Qualifications

  <li>
   5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

 <ul>
  <li>
   Advertising industry PR experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience driving comprehensive earned and owned content strategies
  </li>

   A Passion for building, experimentation, and big, creative thinking

   Experience managing press activations for events

 Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
