The Triton uses a complex array of custom-built sensors, marinized electronics and software systems to operate, sense and communicate in the environment.

  The Electrical Technician will be responsible for assembling and troubleshooting electronics, electrical components, and sub-assemblies of the Triton AUSV. This will include advanced soldering, preparing cables, building cable harness assemblies, potting assemblies, testing assemblies, and installing assemblies into the vehicles. The Electrical Technician will assist the group manager in leading the assembly and integration team as well as coordinate closely with the engineering, supply chain, field application/test and fabrication teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, motivated team player with a genuine interest in marine robotics and electro-mechanical systems. Experience with soldering, cable harnesses assemblies and potting are required. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

   Role Responsibilities:

 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Follow established assembly instructions and interface with engineers to provide feedback on improvements
  </li>
  <li>
   Read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and schematics
  </li>
  <li>
   Strip, prepare, and clean underwater cables
  </li>
  <li>
   Solder wires to PCB
  </li>
  <li>
   Crimp electrical connections and install connectors to modules
  </li>
  <li>
   Assemble, test, and install mechanical and electrical assemblies
  </li>
  <li>
   Wire-to-wire splicing
  </li>
  <li>
   Terminate and crimp RF connections
  </li>
  <li>
   Pot electrical assemblies in epoxy or polyurethane
  </li>
  <li>
   Use existing testing scripts to quality control assemblies
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop and generate job guides/work instructions
  </li>
  <li>
   Troubleshoot and test printed circuit boards, sensor systems and motor controllers
  </li>
  <li>
   Use various assembly and testing tools to build sub-systems based on instructions
  </li>
  <li>
   Install/build sub-systems into vehicle
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with supervision and training of technicians and procurement
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain a clean work area and is responsible for designated tools
  </li>

   IPC or NASA solder certification
  </li>
  <li>
   Broad technical experience with software, mechanical, and electronics systems
  </li>
  <li>
   Deep mechanical assembly skills
  </li>
  <li>
   Work closely with engineering teams and management
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work independently and be an effective team player
  </li>
  <li>
   Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  </li>
  <li>
   High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  </li>
  <li>
   Must be able to read, write, and speak English with excellent understanding
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to handle active work including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for considerable lengths of time
  </li>
  <li>
   US Government position. US Citizenship required
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  </li>
  <li>
   Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) or successfully pass the requirements to obtain one
  </li>
  <li>
   Successfully pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle screening
  </li>
 </ul>

   Experience with cable terminations, crimps, and splicing
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong hands-on skills with experience using a wide range of tools and production equipment

   Capable of assembling electronic components and perform hand solder or surface mount component reflowing
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with Molex crimp tools, epoxy/polyurethane potting materials, submersible electronics, and motor control
  </li>
  <li>
   Possess a comprehensive understanding of technical principles relating to Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineering
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience using schematic capture, BOM creation, and layout software
  </li>
  <li>
   General mechanical assembly skills
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong supervisory skills and experience
  </li>
  <li>
   Interest in marine robotics and systems
  </li>
