  Duties:

 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Develop, plan, design and provide professional certification of plans and specifications relatedto landscape, greening, irrigation systems, and grading projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Design in-house landscape and greening projects and land use planning projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Supervise the preparation of drawings and specifications for landscaping and changes inexisting landscape
  </li>
  <li>
   Supervise the development and processing of Design Service Proposals for landscape designprojects
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with in-house design managers, engineers, and architects for landscape design projects and greening projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Coordinate and finalize design plans with LAUSD Technical staff, project planning staff, and Maintenance and Operations staff for design projects and greening projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Finalize coordination plans with school principals, teachers, non-profit groups, and parent groups for landscape design and greening projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Review, approve and negotiate task orders
  </li>
  <li>
   Manages landscape and greening projects related to researching the scope of work, preparing project cost estimates, material selection, equipment and installation, and methods of delivery and costs
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct site visits and monitor progress of landscape design and greening projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Review and approves documents for grant applications
  </li>
  <li>
   Reviews specifications and drawings to ensure District policies and procedures for landscape related practices are implemented
  </li>
  <li>
   Performs other relevant duties as assigned

  Minimum Requirements
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 Required Experience:
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Minimum eight (8) years professional experience in landscape architectural design on commercial or public agency projects, preferably in school or university projects
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with AutoCAD design software system
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficiency in computer office software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with graphic design and rendering software (Adobe Suite, Photoshop, others)
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
 <strong>
  Required Education:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in landscapearchitecture
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
 <strong>
  Required License:
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   A valid certificate of registration as a licensed Landscape Architect issued by the CaliforniaState Board of Landscape Architects
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>

  Additional Requirements:

 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Extensive experience in AutoCad and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  </li>
  <li>
   Revit, Rhino and Lumion experience is preferred
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>

  Skills:

  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Strong design skills and a passion for creativity
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong organizational skills
  </li>
  <li>
   A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of planting design, materials, and technical aspects of landscape architecture
  </li>
  <li>
   Review of construction documents, specifications and contracts
  </li>
  <li>
   Construction administration experience, as well as experience coordinating with a range of consultants including civil, electrical, and structural engineers
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
   <br/>
   <br/>
  </li>
 </ul>
 Salary dependent on education and experience. Salary range: $115K-$140K
