<h3>Amentum is seeking a Network Controller supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Global Solutions Management – Operations (GSM-O) program at Scott Air Force Base, IL (near O'Fallon, IL).</h3><p>You will thrive in a fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) providing 24x7x365 support and incident management for the global DoD information network (DoDIN). You are self-motivated and driven to seek solutions to resolve monitoring errors, using research and documentation. You will use your understanding of network topologies (transport and IP) and network technologies to troubleshoot network performance issues and analyze network traffic. Your ability to communicate effectively in writing will result in clear and concise documentation on tickets within the ticketing management system (Remedy).</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Troubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniques.</li><li>Utilize network monitoring tools to monitor, track, and resolve issues.</li><li>Create and update tickets utilizing Remedy.</li><li>Troubleshoot networking technologies on a live, global network.</li><li>Deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of networking and has a broad understanding of other related specialty areas.</li></ul><p>Here at Amentum, we are purpose-driven with a fierce commitment to deliver on our promises. Our team is excited to help customers solve today’s and tomorrow’s problems, giving confidence and reassurance that together we’ll accomplish mission success.</p><h3>Minimum Requirements:</h3><ul><li>High school diploma/GED</li><li>At least 3 years of overall work experience required, of which 2 years of experience must be in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications</li><li>Must possess a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, and/or SSCP)</li><li>Experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications with various devices and technologies</li><li>General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP</li><li>Ability to support a 24/7/365 shift work operation</li><li>Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>At least 3 years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network communications</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field</li><li>Possess one or more of the preferred certifications: CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNP or equivalent</li></ul><p>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
