<h3>POSITION SUMMARY</h3>
<p>As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in analyzing costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation, and providing valuable insights to optimize our operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</p>
<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Analyze costs associated with fiber optic broadband infrastructure projects, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.</li>
<li>Monitor inventory levels and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accurate valuation.</li>
<li>Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs and recommend corrective actions as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to track project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost performance, profitability, and inventory management.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of pricing strategies and cost estimates for new projects and services.</li>
<li>Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing cost-related insights and recommendations.</li>
<li>Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cost accounting in the fiber optic broadband industry.</li>
<li>Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to cost accounting practices and procedures.</li>
<li>Purchase Order Management: Oversight of bill of material (BOM) invoice processing, as well as inventory and material oversight as it relates to purchase order management.</li>
<li>Cost Management: Assess cost structures, identify cost drivers, and recommend cost-saving measures. Help optimize operational processes and resource allocation to improve financial efficiency.</li>
<li>Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.</li>
<li>Compliance and Audit: Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements. Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li>
<li>Data Analysis: Collect and organize financial and operational data, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Analyze key financial metrics, industry trends, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights.</li>
<li>Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present financial reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure financial information is communicated effectively and in a timely manner.</li>

<h3>JOB EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.</li>
<li>Two years’ experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in the telecommunications or fiber optic broadband industry.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting methodologies, and financial analysis techniques.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform. Exceptional experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software, Outlook email, and full utilization of Teams. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.</li>
<li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to cost accounting.</li>
<li>Experience with ERP systems and database management is a plus.</li>
<li>Professional demeanor and excellent communication and presentation skills.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and trends is a plus.</li>
<li>Proven ability to solve problems creatively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to effectively handle confidential information.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to effectively handle new and/or sensitive situations, and determine what actions are required.</li>
<li>Highly developed sense of professional courtesy.</li>
