<h3>Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Teaching, Learning and Success Programs</h3><p><strong>Job ID 3976</strong></p><p>Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for a full-time, SWIC Educational Employee position of Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Teaching, Learning and Success Programs.</p><h3>POSITION DESCRIPTION:</h3><p>In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position involves a variety of skills needed to provide administrative support to the dean of an instructional division in the form of secretarial, budgetary, technical and supervisory work that involves complex work methods requiring a high degree of proficiency. Work involves standard and difficult secretarial/clerical and computer skills that require significant coordination with the public, faculty, staff, students and administrators both within and outside the division or college. Normal clerical tasks involve preparation of a variety of correspondence, agendas and meeting minutes; schedule and coordinate Dean and divisional meetings and serves as a point of contact for Dean, faculty, staff and student questions. Computer-related tasks involve data input and retrieval from institutional computer systems such as PeopleSoft, IDWebArchive, WordPress, Class Climate, Digital Storefront and 25Live Pro. This position involves confidential work directly related to budget, planning, personnel issues and student records which involves performing a wide variety of functions requiring the application of independent judgment and initiative in the undertaking and organizing of jobs on a daily basis with a minimum of supervision. Knowledge of and ability to follow college and/or divisional policies is essential. Some flexibility in working hours is required. This position reports to and receives direction from the dean.</p><h3>QUALIFICATIONS:</h3><ul><li>Associates Degree in related field plus 3 years of related work experience.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and software appropriate to the instructional division is required.</li><li>Previous experience in an educational institution and in office management/supervision is strongly preferred.</li><li>Previous experience or training with web page development and maintenance is strongly preferred.</li><li>Previous experience with the terminology of the instructional division is strongly preferred.</li></ul><h3>BENEFITS & PERKS:</h3><ul><li>Benefit availability and eligibility may vary from the summary listed below.
