 <p>
  The California Department of Justice Information Services Division, Enterprise Services Bureau is seeking an Information Technology Project Manager who is responsible for planning, scheduling, leading, and conducting the activities necessary to plan and manage IT projects and system development methods, based on industry best practices and alignment with the Department and Division&rsquo;s vision, goals, and objectives.

  You will perform functions in the role of project manager over the most complex and sensitive IT project activities for the Consolidated Firearms Project Section, California Department of Justice. Also demonstrate all the necessary qualities to effectively manage a project at the scale of the Consolidated Firearms Project, apply leadership skills and play a key role in the success in the department's implementation use of IT and to the business as a whole. You will also possess the general and technical competencies needed to train/mentor staff and project team members who are part of the Consolidated Firearms Project in a complex technical area or proce

  Desirable Qualifications:
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Direct experience leading IT projects, either in a Project Manager/Director role or a key role on large projects.
  </li>
  <li>
   A strong understanding of Project Management Methodologies and Fundamentals, Project Approval Lifecycle, and experience in all aspects of project delivery including concept, initiation, planning, execution, closing, maintenance, and operations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and maintain professional, effective, and cooperative working relationships.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to adapt easily to changing priorities, plan, project workload, coordinate, and allocate resources to meet project demands.
  </li>

  Required Experience:
 </p>

 </p>
 <p>
  Six years of information technology experience performing a variety of progressively responsible technical, analytical, or supervisory tasks in support of computer systems or services in one or more of the major six domains or a closely related or emerging IT field.

 </p>

  A master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for four years of the required general information technology experience.
 </p>
 <p>
  <br/>
 </p>
 <p>
  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for three years of the required general information technology experience.

 </p>
 <p>
  An associate's degree from an accredited college may substitute for one year of the required general information technology experience. Only one degree may be used for substitution.
