Job Description
JOB SUMMARY The FP&A Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for linking Finance and other business areas to integrate all business units, prepare value added financial management information and advising to facilitate improved financial performance. Responsibility primarily includes transforming the overarching company strategy, into a long-range plan with annual operating and capital budgets by using financial modeling, forecasting operating and profitability performance and setting annual targets for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). To request an accommodation, please contact Human Resources at hr@pfcguam.com or call 300-7746. * Analyze and monitor the trends of KPIs, especially relating to financial metrics such as revenues, expenses, profit margin and cash flows and identify the cause of any unexpected variances. * Develop financial models to support decision-making across the organization; plan, analyze, and prepare reports for presentation, and explain findings at both business unit (BU) and line of business (LOB) level against predefined metrics. * Develop and continually analyze and improve financial models, budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts to support strategic initiatives. * Support executive and management teams with data-driven analysis with the use of business intelligence tools and dashboard reports. * Lead the monthly financial reporting process, coordinate with FP&A team to prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports. * Collaborate closely and partner with department heads and executives to manage budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives. * Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy. * Gather, analyze, and integrate operating and financial data from different IT systems to report at group level. * Evaluate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives. * Partner with internal audit and compliance with coordination of external audits, resolving any audit concerns and ensuring audits are completed in a timely manner. * Perform ad-hoc business performance reporting as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * This position is responsible for leading, coaching, and training a team of finance and accounting professionals. * Mentor and develop FP&A team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics or related field required, master’s or advanced degree a plus. * U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. * Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial, Planning, and Analysis (FP&A) certification highly desired. * 8+ years of experience in a financial planning and analysis role, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Expert financial modeling and analytical skills with experience working with data models and databases. * Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial enterprise software applications, such as QuickBooks, Oracle, Sage, etc. * In-depth experience with ERPs and analytical cost accounting. * In-depth subject matter expert knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
