We're now America's #1 online nursery.</p><h3>About The Role:</h3><p>The Senior Product Designer is our first full-time Product Design hire. This role will report directly to our Chief Product Officer.</p><p>To date, we have outsourced its Product Design needs to a contract designer, which has been effective at providing baseline support and infrastructure (basic web UI, design library, etc.). The incoming Senior Product Designer will take the function to the next level, owning Design end-to-end to drive a clear business strategy and execute rapidly.</p><h3>Job Requirements</h3><ul><li>4+ years of experience with Digital Product Design on a consumer-facing product</li><li>Able to own key Product Design processes, e.g., user research, building prototypes, wireframing, etc.</li><li>Strong communication and partnership skills, to independently collaborate with leaders in Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders</li><li>Proven track record or strong confidence in ability to operate with limited resources</li><li>Strong bias to action and executing quickly</li><li>Can produce results in a lean environment, as a first-time designer</li><li>Personally holds their work to a high standard</li></ul><h3>Favorable Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Copywriting skills</li><li>Designing for consumer products with A/B testing</li><li>Priors at any of the following kinds of companies:<ul><li>Ecommerce brands</li><li>Digital products with a large user base</li><li>Early- or growth-stage companies</li></ul></li><li>Prior experience as a first-time Design hire</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $150-200k base <strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid in Flatiron NYC.</p>
