Job Description

The Civil Engineer assists the Project Manager to ensure that projects are managed, executed and delivered to a high standard.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience between 2+ years in a Civil Construction or Project environment.
* Industry relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil) Building (Build).
* Experience In planning, organizing and directing activities regarding construction.
* Experience in the administration and facilitation of contract management and scheduling.
* Experience and knowledge of construction plant and equipment.
* Experience and knowledge with budgets and cost tracking.
* Experience and knowledge in the implementation of quality control programs
* Knowledge and understanding of legislation, statutory and local government requirements.
* Experience in assisting or directing and supervising staff.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills with proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a strong service customer focus.
* Computer literacy and with a high proficiency using various relevant applications
* Knowledge of WH&S and industry relevant Principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assisting in estimating and pricing new works
· Ensuring profitability and budget management targets are met
· Contributing to regular business meetings
· Actively building strong relationships with project key stakeholders
· Bring in and implement new initiatives
· Reviewing and negotiating contracts
· Managing all specifications, common drawings and variations
· Ensuring adherence and compliance of the OHS procedures and system
· Managing the contract administration of each project, including payment claims
· Actively look for work and clients
· Lead and motivate junior team members in order to meet or exceed all targets and objectives

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
