<div> <p> The Intermediate Analyst, Business Systems is the liaison between the business and IT and is responsible for understanding the business needs and translating them into functional requirements for the development of new or enhanced systems. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle. The role ensures that requirements are well-documented, complete, and accurately reflect the needs of the business. This role will be on-site at our HQ in Miami multiple days per week. </p> <p> <br/> </p> <ul> <li> <strong> Job Functions </strong> Elicit requirements and business rules using interviews, workshops, brainstorming, and questionnaires. Write User Stories and convert into functional application specifications, high-level designs, and technical documentation. (15%) </li> <li> Evaluate project complexity, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies. Assist in project planning, scoping, and tracking activities. Provide estimates on the analysis process. Supports the team in issue resolution and risk management with oversight from senior team members. (5%) </li> <li> Coordinate the review and approval of requirements with project team members and stakeholders. Control, analyze, and communicate approved changes to requirements through the software development lifecycle. Facilitate communication with business, management, and peers throughout the project lifecycle. (15%) </li> <li> Assist in reviewing and validating test plans and cases, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Help identify and track defects. Participate in the user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure functionality meets business needs. Coordinate UAT as required. (10%) </li> <li> Participate in design discussions and document Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). Partner with development teams to assist with technical requirements and ensure technical feasibility and implementation. Review applications throughout the development lifecycle to ensure requirements are met. (10%) </li> <li> Work with key business sponsors to create current and future state Process Maps and Data Flow Diagrams. Support business process modeling and reengineering efforts to optimize operations. (20%) </li> <li> Create and review user interface designs to ensure they meet business and usability requirements, working closely with UX/UI teams. (10%) </li> <li> Follow best practices and standards for business analysis and application design under the guidance of senior staff. (5%) </li> <li> Assist in evaluating third-party software as potential business solutions under the guidance of senior team members (10%). </li> <li> Monitor system performance, diagnose and resolve production issues, and recommend solutions to ensure operational efficiency and system reliability in support of business objectives as required as required. </li> </ul> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <strong> Additional Responsibilities </strong> </p> <ul> <li> Required for all Jobs Performs other duties as assigned </li> <li> Complies with all company policies and standards </li> <li> Accurate and timely reporting of time </li> <li> Upholds the Carnival Cruise Lines’ values of respect, teamwork, integrity, and excellence in all activities. </li> </ul> <p> <br/> </p> <p> Culture Essential skills and responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to: </p> <p> • <strong> Speak Up: </strong> suggest new ideas or approaches to work processes, products, or services that could improve efficiency, quality, or outcomes. </p> <p> • <strong> Respect and Protect: </strong> consistently comply with Carnival policies, demonstrating ethical behavior both in the workplace and in personal activities. </p> <p> • <strong> Empower: </strong> proactively take initiative, leverage the tools and information provided, and seek opportunities for personal development and skill enhancement. </p> <p> • <strong> Improve: </strong> cultivate a growth mindset by actively seeking feedback on my work and performance from peers and supervisors to identify areas for improvement. </p> <p> • <strong> Listen and Learn: </strong> show an understanding of my own strengths and weaknesses, recognizing where there is room for personal growth and development. </p> <p> • <strong> Communicate: </strong> convey ideas and information clearly and succinctly, both in writing and verbally, avoiding jargon and complex language when not necessary. </p> <p> <br/> </p> <ul> <li> <strong> Education </strong> Bachelor’s degree in MIS, information technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> Master's degree in MIS, information technology, Computer Science, or a related field <strong> PREFFERED </strong> </li> </ul> <p> <br/> </p> <ul> <li> <strong> Experience </strong> 3+ years – Experience in creating user requirements documentation (e.g. BRD, User Stories, FRD, Process maps, Prototyping, Traceability Matrix, Test Cases and Test Plans). <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> 3+ Years - Experience in creating wireframes (FIGMA), process flow or prototyping to refine requirements <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> 3+ years – Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> 3+ years – Experience working in software development methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall) <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> 3+ years – Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, FIGMA, Jira, etc.) <strong> REQUIRED </strong> </li> <li> 1+ years – Experience in the cruise and/or travel industry <strong> PREFERRED </strong> </li> </ul> <p> <br/> </p> <ul> <li> <strong> Knowledge, Skills, Abilities </strong> Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. </li> <li> Good written and verbal communication skills. </li> <li> Ability to understand technical requirements and data models. </li> <li> Knowledge of security standards and best practices (e.g. PCI and PII) </li> <li> Ability to recommend solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements and generally accepted IT strategies. </li> <li> Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. </li> <li> Solid organizational skills and attention to detail. </li> </ul> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <ul> <li> <strong> Licenses/Certifications </strong> Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) <strong> PREFERRED </strong> </li> <li> PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) <strong> PREFERRED </strong> </li> <li> Certified Agile Business Analyst (CABA) <strong> PREFERRED </strong> </li> </ul> <p> </p> </div>
